The Foolish Rabbit has a simple life. He lives in a field and eats grass. One day, a fox came to the field and said to the rabbit, "I can help you get food that you can't get otherwise." The rabbit thought about it for a moment and then said yes. The next day, the fox led the rabbit to a tree with lots of fruit on it. The rabbit was so happy he danced around. The Rabbit's Tale

The Foolish Rabbit was curious about everything and decided to take a walk. He found himself in a field full of flowers and he was so taken aback by the beauty of them that he forgot all about his errand. He lingered there for hours, enjoying the fragrance and the color. When he finally remembered his purpose, he was quite alarmed to find that he had lost track of time and it was getting late.

He started hurriedly back the way he came, but unfortunately because of his haste, he got lost again. He tripped over a root and tumbled down a steep hillside. When he finally stopped rolling and got up, he saw that dusk was approaching and he was very far from home.

Panicked, The Foolish Rabbit tried to find a path or road but there weren't any in sight. All of a sudden, an animal called out to him from a nearby bush. It sounded like a person speaking but with a loud voice. The Rabbit approached cautiously and saw that it was another rabbit just like him except this one had on an enormous hat which made him look quite foolish indeed. The Rabbit asked the other rabbit how to get home and the other rabbit told him simply to follow its example: stay on the path, don't be afraid of getting lost, and don't worry about anything else!

The Wolf was so hungry that he agreed and the Rabbit ran away as fast as he could. He went into every bush and tree until he found an apple tree loaded with delicious fruit. As soon as he reached the tree, he jumped up and grabbed as many apples as he could before scampering back to safety.

When he got back to the field, the wolf was nowhere to be seen. The Rabbit felt quite relieved and sat down to eat his apples, thanking goodness that everything had turned out okay in the end.
